Consent a rapid, perfect, easy application and ensure an impermeable tightness of the joints.

• With the pre-compressed types LEM ITALIA s.p.a have realized a new solution of immediate application in the range of tightness materials. The GIUNTOPLASTO and RESACRYL strips are pre-compressed in the factory at about 1/5 of the original thickness and supplied in rolls. The physical and chemical characteristics are the same as the ones of the standard type of GIUNTOPLASTO and RESACRYL.

• When the joint is already formed,
• When the elements to be sealed are light and therefore a further compressing force should be applied, which cannot be given by hand and therefore mechanical means should be employed,
• When the still not compressed tape could cause difficulties in laying the elements,
• When already sealed joints should be obtained when executing the laying of the concrete. It will be sufficient to apply the pre-compressed strips before the laying. The re-expansion of the pre-compressed tape which has been incorporated in the laying, occurs after the setting of the concrete. With this process the cutting phase of the laying for getting the joint is avoided.

The placing of the strips of the pre-compressed type is easy and consents a considerable saving of time and even less an exact employment. It is sufficient to unroll the strip and to install it in the already formed joint, or to glue it on the aleady set element when the joint is obtained by assembling two elements. The strip will seal the joint which is realized by setting the following element. The re-expansion of the strips occurs slowly, in any case within a time which is related to the temperature and the degree of compression. The adhesion to the walls of the joint is complete and safe, by means of the elasticity of the pre-compressed material. With the pre-compressed type it is possible to employ strips with a reduced width, because the tightness is due to the compressed side and not to the width of the strips.
